WHY

I am especially drawn to light, structure and the beauty of where everyday life happens. A first impression of a home is something that continuously grabs my interest and introduces curiosity. I thoroughly enjoy capturing this specific type of artistry.

This Schumacher House Tour features classical architect, Gil Schafer and interior designer, Courtnay Daniel’s holiday home on the coast of Maine. With its interior feeling “as if you’re on a ship” with nautical touches, ocean views on three sides and tons of light flooding in, this home is a breath of fresh air.

The talented group of people at Anderson Studio of Architecture and Design invited us to Kiawah Island, SC to film a series of videos for a recent project that just wrapped up. The topic for this video was the trees that surround the home and how their architecture plans always incorporated them. Scott, the firm’s Founder & Creative Director says in the video “The architecture didn’t dictate here, it deferred, yielding to nature’s quiet authority.”
